How recipients opt in
Opt-in is the recipient's own action. There are two paths, both consumer-initiated:
- Public web form — the form at the top of this page (scroll up). The user enters a US mobile number, checks the unchecked-by-default consent box, and submits. A confirmation SMS is sent immediately.
- In-app onboarding — for patients enrolled in clinical Remote Therapeutic Monitoring, the same opt-in form appears at
patient.pace.neuromotive.health/onboarding/reminders, with the identical disclosure text.
Both paths log the same TCPA consent record (phone, timestamp, IP / user-agent, exact disclosure text shown) before any SMS is sent. SMS consent is not a condition of receiving care and is collected separately from any other agreement. Recipients may also opt in by texting START to the program number after a prior STOP.
The exact opt-in disclosure patients see
This is the verbatim text displayed next to the opt-in checkbox in the Pace onboarding flow:
“By checking this box, you agree to receive recurring automated SMS check-in reminders from Pace by NeuroMotive for daily and weekly mental-health check-ins related to your care plan. Message frequency varies (approximately 1–3 messages per day). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of treatment.”
As it appears on the screen (the patient must enter a mobile number and actively check the box — it is unchecked by default):
